Fernhill Revelation
Fernhill Revelation – placed in 5 year old classes with Kate before being produced up to 4* level by Fraser Duffy and then going on to be 7th at Tattersalls CCI4*L with Philip Dutton.
Fernhill Impulse
Fernhill Impulse (Pulgar) – one of Kate’s early success stories. Twice qualified for the novice Championships at Gatcombe. Sadly, he sustained a fetlock injury and was retired early.
Fernhill Go Go
Fernhill Go Go – started by Kate. Then sold to Italy where he competed at Young Rider level before coming back to the UK as a junior horse.
Fernhill Freestyle
Fernhill Freestyle (MW Billy’s Boy)– by Billy Congo out of Fernhill City Girl (Ghareeb/Skyboy).
Awarded Futurity First Premium as foal and 3 year old. Sold through Carol Gee to Oliver Townend for whom he won several Novice events. Now competing in the US.
Fernhill Chico
Fernhill Chico (MW Graf’s Star) – by Grafenstolz out of Viva Diva (I’m a Star/Carnival Night).
Awarded higher first premium as a foal and 3 year old. Sold through Carol Gee to the US where he is currently competing successfully up to international 1* level.
Don Onyx
Don Onyx – Another Brightwells purchase who started his career eventing but ended up going down the showjumping route and has jumped successfully up to 1.25 – including on the sunshine tour as a 6 year old.
Crest of the Wave
Crest of the Wave (Cresty). – The horse that started it all. Bought from Carol Gee as a 4 year old this Sea Crest superstar was ridden by all members of the family – introduced Kate to her first intermediates and was on winning teams at Pony Club Championships on numerous occasions. He took part in Only Fools and Horses at Olympia and in retirement swept almost all before him in veteran classes. He was a legend and continued to rule the roost until he finally left a big hole when he died in October 2017.
Candar van Het Neerveld
Candar Van Het Neerveld – started by Kate and then ridden by Francisco Seabra – jumped double clear round Blenheim before being sold to Canadian Lindsey Pearce and continued to compete successfully at 2 and 3* level.
Ballyengland Official
BallyEngland Official (Chippy) – produced by Kate up to 2* level and was well placed at Barbury 2* before niggling injuries interrupted his career. He is now loving his hunting as Kate’s field master horse for the Berks and Bucks Draghounds.
