Here we are half-way through the season, and all is well at Kate Honey Eventing.
Our star performer so far, has been Global Typhoon (Ricky), who has established himself at Intermediate level, with 3 top10 finishes, and then wrapped up with a double clear in his first 3*S at Osberton at the end of May.
FDA She’s so Dignified (Ava) has really come on in the first half, becoming much more rideable and now beginning to feel like a real professional. She has jumped double clears and finished 5th in her last two events and jumped confidently around some strong tracks this spring. The plan is for her to move up to Intermediate level at Upton. Then the big goal for the summer is to head to Scone 3*L with Ricky and the 2*L with Ava. It’s great to have two at the international level, and if everything goes as we hope, it will be a real highlight to head to this new Scottish venue.
MBF Jackpot (with Jack Pinkney) has had a strong first half of the year. Winning two events and then finishing 5th in his first 3* long and first foreign trip at ROYAL Jump in France. His aim is the 8/9 yr olds class at Blenheim.
Young kid on the block Rock around the Clock, AKA Bruno, had a great outing at Badminton BYEH, he has also jumped round a couple of training events, including Tweseldown 100 and won his first GO BE90 at Waverton. We are looking forward to the second half of the season with him and if all goes to plan, we may possibly aim for the 5 yr olds class at Cornbury in September. He’s definitely feeling like a future star!
Delphi has had a great run of form showjumping rarely finishing outside the top 5, and with a couple of wins along the way.
Finally, we have been busy with bringing on some other nice youngsters – watch this space for progress!
