Nunney 3*S

Piccolo V was in flying form at Nunney International Horse Trials 3*

I slightly blamed the scorching heat for my dressage Sat nav going wrong on Friday, woops!

But we redeemed ourselves with a good SJ round (just tipping one rail) and a storming XC – where he made it all feel easy.

Good boy Pickle 😍😍

Look of determination all round!

Tweseldown

Piccolo V pulled it out of the bag in the intermediate at Tweseldown. A great test for 29.1, an unlucky pole showjumping, but a brilliant clear cross-country inside the time, saw him finish in 3rd place! A well deserved result, around a decent track. We will now aim for his first international 3*S at Nunney next month.

Rockingham & Great Tew

A busy weekend eventing. Delphi was the star of the show at Rockingham finishing 4th in the novice. Harry marred a lovely test and clear show-jumping with a disagreement coming out of the water.

Mimi Falb’s Bella continued her education at the lovely Cotswold cup event at Great Tew. Doing a beautiful test for 27.5. There were strong tracks for both jumping phases which caused a couple of green errors but she felt so much more mature about the job. And Eleanor Hubbard’s Cochise proved to be Mr. Consistent with another really solid performance finishing 7th in the 100.

Howick

6YO Timpex Karizma had a great run at Howick Staring with a lovely test, a fab SJ (apart from miscommunication at the double 🙊) and then a classy looking XC, to finish just outside the top 10.

She is growing in confidence every outing. Such a thrill watching this lovely mare develop. 😍😍

Kizzy sj

Aston Intermediate

An exciting day at Aston le Walls 🤩

KEC Delicate Girl was contesting her first intermediate and seriously impressed.
Doing a 30.9 test, 1 misjudgment in the treble showjumping and a super clear cross-country which saw her finish just outside the top ten. 👏👌

Piccolo V was right back in form in his intermediate section, performing a 31 test with an impressive double clear to finish 4th.

A great day all round for the team 😃

Aston & Cirencester

First up was Aston le Walls Equestrian Centre last Friday, where Breeze and Kizzy both put in great performances. Just a pesky last fence pole on both of them in the SJ keeping them out of the top placings. Also a huge thanks to Oliver Sherwood Racing for coming to the rescue with their 2horse when we had a slightly alarming smoking motor on our lorry ramp motor!

Next up was Cirencester Park -
Pickle was back on form after having had a quieter few weeks with a bit of a virus, with a good solid run in the ON with an annoying rail just keeping him out of the placings.
Harry looked a picture and was on great form, but an frustrating miscommunication at the corner combination spoilt the final result this time. Last up Delphi - who was the star of the show She finished 4th with a super performance in all 3 phases. ready to step up to her first intermediate next time out.

Harry Cirencester

Waverton House

A great day for the team yesterday at The Cotswold Cup event at Waverton House. Mimi Falb’s Bella had another super outing yesterday. A 29 dressage test (despite an unscripted above ground movement right in front of the judges car 🙈) Great clear sj and super xc apart from a green moment at the coffin. She has learned loads from her last outing and this was another hugely educational day.

Bella sj

The Ashfield’s Mickey was on his usual flying form! A 24.8 saw him lead his section, followed by an unfortunate pole sj, but clear xc saw him finish a well deserved 5th 🤩

Eleanor Hubbard also flew the flag for the yard putting in a great performance for 5th in the 100 on Cochise 💪Many thanks to the Cotswold Cupteam for laying on such a great event 👌

The highs and lows – Larkhill & South of Englad

The highs and lows of Eventing from the weekend! Timpex Karizma (Kizzy) & KEC Delicate Girl (Delphi) were both super, in their respective classes at Larkhill & South of England. With Kizzy picking up 4th in the 100 and Delphi 7th in the novice, both with great double clears 🥳

Kizzy

The hard luck story was poor Milchem Sea Breeze who inexplicably lost her footing when in contention at Larkhill 😢 But we live to fight another day!

And then Hazard Z was slightly on the naughty step for taking a disliking to a cartridge gun half way round the xc for an annoying 20 penalties, he felt brilliant across all the three phases minus that moment!

A huge thanks to both organisers for putting on super events 🙏

Calmsden UA

A quick turn around from Oxtalls and we were back out eventing the next day- this time to Calmsden run by Horse-Events, another great event 👌

Eleanor Hubbard’s Cochise came out like a pro to finish 4th in the 100. Doing a 25 test with a very assured double clear. 🙌👏

Mimi Falb’s Bella was doing her first ever event. A super test for 29, she then coped really well on grass for the first time in the show jumping just rolling a pole. Then having started a bit green and spooky XC grew hugely in confidence all the way round and finished with a big smile on her face. Got to love the babies. Such a positive learning experience for her. Well done Bella. 😍😍
