Despite a minor warm up hitch (lost shoe🙈) MBF Jackpot seriously impressed the jump judges in the BYEH at Gatcombe on Friday, finishing 5th, as strangely enough the dressage judges were not quite so impressed by a couple of athletic airs above the ground. But a great competition and experience for him 👌
6YO Timpex Karizma has had a great run of form at BE100 level this season, so we felt that she was ready to make the step up to novice. Unfortunately, she had two really unlucky runs at Upton and Aston at this level, so we headed down to Bicton to do a compulsory run back at BE100. It was a great confident building exercise for her, she went brilliantly and finished just outside the top 10 in 11th place. We will now step her back up and hope luck is on our side!
We had a great outing recently to Aston running in the intermediate class with two horses.
Piccolo V was in top form finishing 8th despite a steady XC, this saw him gain enough points to now move him into advanced category – Mr Consistent!
Hazard Z completed his first intermediate and certainly showed he doesn’t lack for scope or bravery! One green moment of confusion caused by some deep shadows XC marring an otherwise great performance 🤩

Our homebred Victor, had another strong season in 2024, consolidating at BE100 level and jumping numerous double clears with top 10 places. We will look to move him up to novice level in 2025 and we are looking forward to seeing how he gets on.

We welcomed MBF Jackpot (Jack) to the yard at the beginning of July 2022, having been
produced by Millie Dumas. He is a really fantastic model and showed his class by qualifying for the NexGen Young Horse Finals as a four year old were he finished a very creditable 8th place.
His first season eventing has been equally impressive winning two events and stepping up to a meaty 5YO championships at Cornbury International, were he took all the atmosphere in his stride and finished on his dressage score.
He stepped up to 6yo Novice level in 2024, which was a great learning curve for him. He then made the move to be ridden by Jack Pickney for us, and has again gone from strength to strength. He has had a really positive start to 2026 – winning two events and then finishing 5th in his first 3* long and first foreign trip at ROYAL Jump in France. His aim is the 8/9 yr olds class at Blenheim.
First up, a huge thanks to the UBS Upton House Horse Trials team for all their efforts with the ground. It really was greatly appreciated by all the riders.
It was a bit of a mixed event for Team Honey! Piccolo V was the star of the show again 
He was on top form to finish 3rd with less than a mark separating the top 3 in his intermediate section. Clever boy 
Hazard Z was jumping a great showjumping round, making nothing of the intermediate track until a miscommunication at the final treble left him unable to jump out and a sideways dodge resulted in an unscheduled dismount 
Really disappointing not to be able to run him cross-country but onwards and upwards to Aston in 10 days.
KEC Delicate Girl didn’t quite feel herself so decided to save her for another day.
The ups and downs of Eventing!!
We had a great couple of days at @barburyht 😎😎
First up was MBF Jackpot in the @nexgenhorses 4YO qualifier. He made nothing of being in the main arena, taking it all in his stride and finishing a brilliant 2nd in a competitive class. Which means that he is qualified for the finals in September 🥳🥳 Clever Jack!
Next up was KEC Delicate Girl, who was also a star – putting in an assured double clear in the novice, ahead of stepping back up to intermediate at Upton next week 💪💪
I then finished up the event, by having a great spin in the inter hunt relay with the Ashfield’s lovely little horse Mickey, with the team finishing 4th!
Milchem Sea Breeze was brilliant in all three phases at this event to take the win in the 105 🥳🏆🥳
Not to be out done, Timpex Karizma made light work of the conditions stepping up to 105 for the first time to finish 5th👌
We had a really great outing to the @nexgenhorses eventing series at Wellington with our two 4YOs. It is a such a good educational competition for them, and both of ours came away having learnt a lot.
New kid on the block, 4YO MBF Jackpot, put in a lovely performance, with so much potential. He just finished out of the qualifying spots in 6th, with a few green moments but felt brilliant for our first proper show together. He’s been beautifully started by @team_dumas_official, and we can’t wait to continue his education.
Our lovely homebred Meridianway Victor, also rose to the challenge, again having a few babyish moments, but finishing in a solid 9th place.
We can’t wait to keep campaigning in the NEXGEN series with the goal for these two very much being to qualify for the finals at Hickstead in September🤞
We had a good two days at Farley Hall Horse Trials
Hazard Z was in the novice and did nice test with a super double clear to finish 4th. Devil child seems to be back in his box for now 
Timpex Karizma continued her run of good form in the BE100, with a 30 test (which definitely has more marks to come) backed up by a super confident double clear to finish 5th.
Carrots all round for good ponies this weekend
